Games have been signified by the names that have dominated them. Like Larry Bird in his era and Jorden in his, Bryant has been the symbol of the era of NBA that we follow today. Bryant was the best last season, I never thought he could do better than what he did then, but come this year and the man’s back to rescue the LA Lakers singlehandedly back to the NBA finals.

Gasol’s a great prospect, but in spite of that body the lad isn’t really a trusted inclusion, he would give away rebounds in the offense and he isn’t all that impressive in the defense too. You have made an statement about Kobe doing 81pts in a game - remember he has done 83 as well.

The best part about Bryant’s game is not just that those majestic jumpers he gets from just about anywhere on the oppositions court but is about the number of chances that he creates for the teammates, the way he is guides the other players and most importantly the assists. He has a tremendous number of assists along with those points in a game.

He is a great individual player and a great team-player as well - and just because he outplays everyone on court doesn’t mean we need a game without him, or does it?

Im a laker fan, but even I can acknowledge this wasn't a good game by Kobe's standards. Lamar is the one that stepped up big in this game and Pau was big in OT. Kobe has been amazing for most of these playoffs though.

I do think Hedo’s the best thing since sliced bread and am glad someone else agrees. But I don’t think Lee deserves to be beat up on for the miss. It was a catch-and-release play that was caught at a tough angle while the path to the basket was hampered by Pau Gasol’s giant arm. If he HAD made the shot, I think people would be calling it an amazing shot not just because it was a buzzer-beater, but because of how hard of a shot it was. Instead, because he missed it, people are saying it was a choke because it was an ”easy lay-up.” Drama’s drama.
